Don't Put Yourself In A Box
Your life will change
You don’t have to put yourself in a box.
In most areas of life, people like to identify with certain groups, hobbies, and interests.
This makes you feel more safe, and like you belong in the tribe.
It can prevent you from venturing out of your comfort zone.
There’s nothing wrong with this, but don’t let it stop you from trying something new and expanding your horizons.
For example, I’ve been training calisthenics for the past 5 years, and have somewhat attached my identity to this form of training and the community around it.
But now I long for something more, something different, a new challenge that will push me both mentally and physically.
At the end of the day, a physical challenge is a vehicle for personal growth.
I’m going to push myself out of my comfort zone and enter the endurance training scene, more specifically triathlons in the near future.
I challenge you to start something new that’s always picked your interest.
It doesn’t have to be physical.
It could be learning a new skill, starting a business, or posting content on social media.
But lean into the discomfort, and push yourself to do something new.
Life is all about having new experiences, pushing yourself past your perceived limits, and growing as a person.
So I challenge you,
Before the year ends, pick a new and scary goal, something you’re not quite sure you can achieve.
Make a plan to achieve it, take action,
And watch your life change.
P.S.
